Code of Conduct

Aligned with the auditing principles set out in ISO 19011:2018 (Guidelines for auditing management systems), adapted for consulting and training engagements as well.

01

Integrity

Professional, honest and diligent conduct, working within the terms and confidentiality of each engagement.

02

Fair presentation

Findings, conclusions and reports accurately, truthfully and completely reflect the activities carried out.

03

Due professional care

The diligence and sound judgement expected of a practitioner working in regulated environments.

04

Confidentiality

Information acquired during an engagement is used and protected in line with our Data Privacy Summary, and never disclosed without authorisation.

05

Objectivity & impartiality

Conclusions are based on evidence alone. Engagements are structured, and conflicts of interest disclosed, so judgement is never influenced by a broader account relationship.

06

Evidence-based approach

Conclusions are reached through a systematic process, using information that is verifiable against defined criteria.

Terms of Reference

Every engagement — audit, consulting or training — is scoped in a written Terms of Reference (also referred to as a Caderno de Encargos) before work begins. It typically sets out:

  • Objectives — what the engagement is meant to establish or deliver.
  • Scope & boundaries — sites, systems, standards and time period covered.
  • Deliverables — report format, CAPA plan, training materials or certificate, as applicable.
  • Roles & responsibilities — what TrueNorth provides and what the client organisation is expected to make available.
  • Timeline — milestones, aligned with the indicative timelines published on the Services page.
  • Confidentiality & data handling — governed by our Data Privacy Summary, aligned with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
  • Fees & terms of engagement — confirmed in writing before work begins.

A tailored Terms of Reference document is issued for each engagement, covering the points above in detail specific to your organisation — available on request during the initial conversation.
